Becoming a parent is easy and fun, being a parent is hard.

On a daily basis, I’m making decisions for my daughters that may shape their future, and I have neither hard data nor experience to go by. I’ll have to think about the best path as I go along, and this blog is meant to

• Focus my thinking by writing it down
• Be a place where others (you!) can comment on what I’m doing. Thanks for sharing your wisdom!
• Serve as a record, maybe to prove my good intentions to my children later on, or maybe just to figure out if I’m consistent in my parenting
